"The three hardest tasks in the world are neither ph.ysical feats nor intellectual achievements, but moral acts: to return love for h.ate, to include the excluded, and to say, 'I was wrong.'"

"What I do you cannot do; but what you do, I cannot do. The needs are great, and none of us, including me, ever do great things. But we can all do small things, with great love, and together we can do something wonderful."

"Happiness does not come from things but from the thoughts we choose to think. If we fail to make this distinction, we build our happiness on a very wobbly foundation. And when we lose our things or when their newness wears off and we tire of them, the foundation of our happiness crumbles and we cease to be happy."

"This year, mend a quarrel. Seek out a forgotten friend. Dismiss suspicion and replace it with trust. Write a letter. Give a soft answer. Encourage youth. Manifest your loyalty in word and deed. Keep a promise. Forgo a grudge. Forgive an enemy. Apologize. Try to understand. Examine your demands on others. Think first of someone else. Be kind. Be gentle. Laugh a little more. Express your gratitude. Welcome a stranger. Gladden the heart of a child. Take pleasure in the beauty and wonder of the earth. Speak your love and then speak it again."

"We look forward to the time when the Power of Love will replace the Love of Power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace."

Stacey Charter

“Life is all about timing... the unreachable becomes reachable, the unavailable become available, the unattainable... attainable. Have the patience, wait it out It's all about timing.”

"It's surprising how many persons go through life without ever recognizing that their feelings toward other people are largely determined by their feelings toward themselves, and if you're not comfortable within yourself, you can't be comfortable with others."

Elaine Cannon

"[Love] is like the sun shining over the whole earth--through love everything is seen in its best beauty. With love dictating the gentle, wondrous responses to God, nature, and all mankind, life has an awesome luster."

Jeri J. Winger

"In helping others, we help ourselves, because when we give, we gain and we grow. And the pay is good. We are paid in smiles and in happiness, which is the cur.rency of love....We have God's promise that what we give will be given back many times over."

“You can gain more friends by being yourself than you can by putting up a front. You can gain more friends by building people up than you can by tearing them down. And you can gain more friends by taking a few minutes from each day to do something kind for someone, whether it be a friend or a complete stranger. What a difference one person can make!”

Prayer for Frank

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest Comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden of cancer. Dear God, we place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant Frank to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that whatsoever You do, You do for the love of us.
Amen

عظیم است نام تو عیسی

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too:
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream and not make dreams your master;
If you can think and not make thoughts your aim,
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same:
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools
